From a quiet college romance to a heartfelt, handmade wedding weekend — this is the story of Addie and Zack.
Getting to “I Do”
📸 Photo Suggestion: A wide shot of the Sparrow Hill property at golden hour, or a detail of welcome signage
When Addie and Zack first visited Sparrow Hill, they weren’t just looking for a venue — they were looking for a place that felt like home. “We struggled to find a place that met exactly what we were looking for,” Addie said. “A space that didn’t feel rushed, a setting that matched our relaxed vibe, and somewhere we could be with our people.”
They found that and more in Sparrow Hill. With the ability to arrive Friday afternoon and not worry about cleanup until Sunday, Addie and Zack had the time and space to breathe — and fully enjoy their weekend with the people who mattered most.
College Sweethearts, Pandemic Partners, Now Married
📸 Photo Suggestion: A couple’s portrait — something candid, joyful, or outdoors
Their love story began at Waynesburg University, just weeks before COVID-19 changed the world. With campuses closed and uncertainty ahead, Zack moved into Addie’s college apartment to continue school — and the two became inseparable.
Now, they’re officially Mr. and Mrs. Baughman, living in Franklin, PA with their rescue pup Saiya. Whether they’re camping, golfing, or heading to concerts, they love adventuring through life side by side.
Personal Touches That Made It Theirs
📸 Photo Suggestion: A detail shot of one of their DIY elements — place cards, signage, or decor
“We splurged on a Cricut,” Addie laughed, “which sounds silly, but it was so worth it.” Their day was full of personalized, handmade details — the kind of meaningful touches that made their guests feel seen and loved. Zack even drove Addie to Walmart at 10 p.m. one night to buy a new machine when their old one wouldn’t cooperate.
It’s those kinds of moments — real, late-night, love-soaked — that added up to a wedding that felt deeply like them.
A Ceremony to Remember
📸 Photo Suggestion: Addie walking down the aisle with her father; a shot of Zack’s reaction; or their first kiss
“We were both so nervous about walking down the aisle,” Addie shared. “We hate being the center of attention!” But in the end, that walk turned out to be their favorite moment of the day.
A private first look and vow exchange helped settle their nerves, and when it came time for the ceremony, all that was left was joy. “Addie’s dad by her side, seeing all our people there, knowing we were about to be married — it was magic.”
Wedding Advice from the Baughmans
📸 Photo Suggestion: A black-and-white candid or a cozy photo of the couple with guests
Their biggest advice? You do you.
“Traditions or no traditions — it’s your day,” Addie said. “If something feels right, do it. Be organized, trust your gut, and soak it all in. It really is the best day of your life.”
The Sparrow Hill Experience
📸 Photo Suggestion: A group photo, a sunset shot of the barn, or a behind-the-scenes moment with the Sparrow Hill team
“Choosing Sparrow Hill was the best decision we could have made,” Addie said. “Our wedding could not have gone any better, and it was truly all thanks to the team’s knowledge and kindness.”
From all of us at Sparrow Hill — thank you, Addie and Zack, for trusting us with your wedding weekend. You reminded us exactly why we do what we do.
